The recently announced results of the 2023 GCE Cup China Undergraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling brought unprecedented success for ZZRVTC. 32 teams from ZZRVTC were awarded the grand prize, marking a historic breakthrough with the best results achieved over the years. Among these accolades, ZZRVTC won 3 first prizes and 4 second prizes at the national level, along with 8 first prizes and 17 second prizes at the provincial level. This outstanding performance positioned ZZRVTC as the top recipient of national awards in the province and the second-highest in the entire country.

The China Undergraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling was established in 1992. It is one of the first 19 competitions listed in the List of Colleges and Universities Academic Competitions. In 2023, a total of 1,685 colleges and universities (campuses) from China, the United States, Australia, and Malaysia participated, fielding 59,611 teams comprising 54,158 undergraduates and 5,453 specialists and involving approximately 180,000 participants. A total of 88 institutions and 2,872 teams participated in the competition in Henan, among which 5 teams won the first prize and 18 teams won the second prize in the specialized group.
ZZRVTC attaches great significance to the China Undergraduate Mathematical Contest in Modeling. The Department of Basic Teaching established a dedicated professional competition guidance team to provide meticulous tutoring to participating students. The students, in turn, demonstrated excellent cooperation and dedicated study efforts. During the preparation phase, Mr. Tian Daomin, Secretary of the Party Committee of ZZRVTC, Ms. Ma Yuxia, President of ZZRVTC, and Mr. Li Fusheng, Vice President of ZZRVTC, expressed their support for the students and motivated them to strive for first place. Through the collective efforts of both teachers and students, the teams successfully overcame numerous challenges, ultimately achieving remarkable results in the competition.
