On June 6th, the college library hosted a ceremony for the donation of business professional books from the Holmes Institute, Australia to the college. The vice president of the college, Ni Ju, the chairman of the Holmes Education Group and president of Holmes Institute, Mr. Stephen Nagle, the executive director, Mr. Sun Yi, the director of higher education, Ms. Anja Fladrich, along with representatives from the International Affairs Office and Silk Road Academy (International Education School), attended the book donation ceremony.

In his speech, Ni Ju expressed that since 2007, Zhengzhou Railway Vocational & Technical College has been cooperated with Holmes Institute, Australia, establishing a close partnership and mutual support for 17 years, and has successively set up joint education programs in nursing, logistics management, accounting, and marketing. Throughout the Sino-foreign cooperative education process, strict control over the quality of teaching standards has been maintained, with a continuous effort to build a quality assurance system from both internal and external aspects. During this book donation, 369 books valued at 300,000 RMB were donated by Holmes Institute, Australia, divided into 6 categories. These books are noted for their rich content, diverse types, and beautiful binding, possessing high collection value and practical use value. The books are expected to actively promote the educational teaching work of the college, provide healthy spiritual nourishment for the growth of young people, and hold great significance in the cultivation, education, and guidance of individuals.

 

In his speech, Stephen stated that books are carriers of human wisdom and have been instrumental in advancing the development and progress of human civilization and culture. The donated original English business books are expected to assist teachers and students in gaining knowledge, insights, and primary resources on the progression of global business studies. This initiative aligns with the latest trends in international business development and research, fostering the exchange and integration of professional knowledge and cultural understanding within the academic community. Stephen expressed hope that these books would offer diverse connotative values to the teachers and students, enriching their experiences through the enjoyment of reading. Concurrently, he anticipates that the cooperative efforts between the two institutions will elevate to a new level.

Zhao Jiatong, speaking as the student representative, expressed in his speech that the amicable collaboration fostered between the two institutions has enriched the students' access to a diverse array of course materials and an exemplary academic setting,allowing everyone to explore freely and pursue their dreams here. The recent donation of books is set to invigorate the educational and daily experiences of the students. Those enrolled in the cooperative education initiative are encouraged to value this precious donation, to engage with each book with diligence, and to extract knowledge that will expand their intellectual vistas.

    

   

Finally, Ni Ju and Stephen represented the two colleges for the unveiling of the books and the handover of the books.
